LADWP EV Chargers for Solar Carports

​

Eventure Solutions will include free EV chargers for installed solar carports in the LADWP service area.

The Carport and Canopy Incentive program, introduced by LADWP, aims to encourage the development of solar projects on carports and canopies. ​

 

Here are the key points:

Eligibility: ​

• Projects must be newly constructed carports or canopies within LADWP's in-basin service territory. ​

• Applicants must indicate their intention to apply for the incentive in their application. 

 

Electric Vehicle Service Equipment (EVSE) Requirement: ​

• Carport projects receiving the incentive must install EVSE for a certain percentage of parking spaces:

  • 25% for projects in Disadvantaged Communities receiving the LADWP Commercial Electric Vehicle Charging Station Rebate. ​

  • 10% for projects in Disadvantaged Communities not receiving the rebate.

  • 25% for projects not in Disadvantaged Communities but receiving the rebate. ​

  • 10% for projects not in Disadvantaged Communities and not receiving the rebate. ​

• DCFC can substitute for multiple Level 2 chargers. ​​

 

This program aims to make solar projects on carports and canopies economically viable, thereby supporting LADWP's renewable energy goals. ​
