New Construction Solar in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is where Eventure is based and where most of our work happens: podium apartments in Koreatown and Hollywood, mixed-use along transit corridors, industrial in the South Bay and the San Fernando Valley, and hospitality from Downtown to the Westside. The city's permitting process, two very different utilities, and dense sites make early solar coordination worth more here than almost anywhere.

What Is Different Here

Regional details that shape the solar scope.

01

Two utilities, two processes

The City of Los Angeles is served by LADWP, a municipal utility with its own interconnection process, solar programs, and Feed-in Tariff. Most surrounding cities in the county are served by Southern California Edison under CPUC-regulated tariffs. Which utility serves the site changes the interconnection timeline, the export options, and whether prevailing wage rules tied to investor-owned-utility tariffs apply.

02

LADBS plan check

Projects in the city go through the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety, with Fire Department review of rooftop access pathways and battery installations. We prepare solar and storage submittals to move through that review alongside the building permit rather than behind it.

03

Dense urban roofs

Los Angeles multifamily and mixed-use projects put amenity decks, mechanical equipment, and fire access on small roofs. Solar Access Roof Area is the constraint, and the design-phase roof plan decides whether the requirement fits.

04

Markets we serve

Downtown, Hollywood, Koreatown, the Westside, the San Fernando Valley, the South Bay, the San Gabriel Valley, Long Beach, and the Gateway Cities.

Utilities

LADWP and Southern California Edison

The serving utility determines the interconnection process, the export compensation, metering requirements, and the timeline. We identify the utility at concept and file the interconnection application during construction documents so utility review runs parallel to construction.
